Ever since she was a child, Wendy loved being surrounded by fabrics and textiles. In the early '90s, her parents sewed in sweatshops and paid her a nickel for every shirt she could flip collars and pockets on. She was unfortunately placed in foster care at the age of 15, but studied hard in high school, emancipated from the system, and got into UC Berkeley. After college, she worked as a business-banking consultant at Wells Fargo for five years. Even though she enjoyed being a financial advisor, she did not feel creatively challenged, so she quit and pursued the arts and fashion. She sees the world in textures, shapes, designs, and movements. With the encouragement of her boyfriend, she started her YouTube channel in January of 2011 and the blog shortly thereafter in March. Both platforms have given her the freedom to creatively express herself, and more importantly, the ability to share her love for fashion with others.
